It is the perfect sing-a-long by yourself in a car song in my opinion. I’ve had this song literally on repeat since it was first released as a single. The fourth track on the new album is Battle Symphony. The lights are on but nobody’s home (nobody’s home) / You say I can’t understand /But you’re not giving me a chance. I am SO excited to hear this song live in August! It is so catchy, has such an amazing guitar riff, and of course Chester brings it all together with the emotion is his voice! It reminded me of the Minutes to Midnight-era, especially during the first verse. Track number three on One More Light is Talking to Myself. Never seen a young black brother in the chart twice / Goodbye to the stereotypes / You can’t tell my kings we can’t / Mandem we’re linking tings in parks / Now I got a tune with Linkin Park This song also features rappers Pusha T and Stormzy. The first verse is Mike rapping, which reminds me of the classic Linkin Park Hybrid Theory/ Meteora-era songs that were fueled with rapping in the verses and singing/ screaming in the chorus. The song begins with Chester Bennington singing the catchy chorus. Song number two on the new album is Good Goodbye. You can apply them to any situation you are going through! One thing I love about Linkin Park is that their lyrics are very versatile. I got lots of Dead by Sunrise vibes from this song! My favorite part of the song is the chorus. It is a strong start to this powerful album. The first song on the album is entitled Nobody Can Save Me. Of course, my physical copy (err actually two copies) is in the mail on the way to West Texas currently, so Apple Music will suffice. To start off, I love albums so much! I love holding a physical copy of something that blood, sweat, and tears has been put into. I’m not going to talk much about this, but let me tell you I have a General Admission Pit ticket for August 23 when Linkin Park is going to be playing in San Antonio conveniently the first week I start classes again for the Fall Semester at UTSA.
So once I found out that Linkin Park was back in the studio, I had one thing on my mind. I literally have every single Linkin Park album in physical form currently inside the CD player in my Jeep. Memories of my childhood include using reverse psychology to get my Dad to play Hybrid Theory and Meteora on repeat. If you know me well, you know that I was practically raised on Linkin Park. But like I’ve said to so many strangers around the world, they are grown adults with families and children, they are not going to be screaming about “angsty” things anymore.

Since their first single, Heavy, was released, I’ve turned into full “Linkin Park Defense Squad.” I’ve sassed so many people talking crap on Facebook about how they want the Hybrid Theory style songs back and constantly accuse Linkin Park of becoming sell outs. I have had a day to fully absorb the album and I am ready to talk about it! The album was released yesterday on May 19 th. The long-awaited day has come, after 3 years Linkin Park has released their 7 th studio album entitled, One More Light.
